Following the first one, that didn't work very well, I re-designed the hull, and built a second version, the Microbra evo.
This one did a great job on the water.
Same setup than the first version, 400 6V, 7 nicd KR600, then 7 Nimh GP 1100. Speed was not skyrocketing, but enough to have a lot of fun.

After a few (many in fact !) runs, the balsa hull looked like rubish. I decided to make a fiber hull. I made a plaster mold from a balsa master, and tried to mold it properly. The result was not top quality, but it flied on the water.
Setup : feigao b2015L, 7 nimh GP 1300, k31.

It did work so fine a friend of mine decide to make a real mold (not a plaster one...). He also made a "maritmo look alike " cockpit.
Terrific !

Hi giulio,
we still have the mold, and my friend is still able to produce hulls. But let me tell you this hull is not suitable for brushless motors. It was designed to compete in "400" french category. The only motor which was allowed for these races was a speed 400, and this hull was made to go fast with a low power setup. I've tried to run it with brushless motors, and the results were not good. Too difficult to handle.

if you will be able to make the step longer and the nose shorter, so the step will came more to the front of the boat it will be much more stable at higher speeds :)

Sure, this was something I wanted to try. But "400" races are slowly dying, so the development of this hull was stopped. At the moment, I concentrate myself on mono 1 and hydro 1.
